Investigators say the SUV Omaha’s latest murder victims were found in matched the description of one used in a previous homicide.
The Omaha Police Department says the James Starr, 18, and Brandon Phelps, 17, were found dead from gunshot wounds in a black SUV at the Ernie Chambers Court apartments, near 16th and Yates, Wednesday afternoon.
That SUV matched the description of one sought in connection with the murder of Jonathan Johnson, who was shot on Saturday, Nov. 28 and died at the hospital, according to police.
Last week, police asked for the public’s help and released of photo of that suspect vehicle.

Detectives are trying to determine if the two incidents are connected.
