Circuit lockout caused outage in N Central Omaha

Officials with the Omaha Public Power District said that about 1737 people were without power in North Central Omaha late Monday morning.

The outage happened after 11:00 am. 

The areas  that were affected included Blair High Rd., Rambleridge Rd.  and Military Rd. 

OPPD officials the cause was tree interference with a primary line.

The outage was also between State Highway 133 and Interstate 680. 

Nebraska Medicine was one of the places affected by the outage.

Hospital officials said power was out in some of their buildings including at the Lied Transplant Center.

Officials added that their backup power was functioning in other areas.

The power was fully restored after 1:49 p.m.
