Creighton Advances In The MVC Tournament
Jays Beat The Bulldogs
St. Louis, MO - The Creighton Bluejays kicked off the MVC tournament quarterfinals with an expected win. Creighton beat Drake 65-53 The Jays were led by big time performances from their post players.
MVC Player of the Year Doug McDermott led all scorers with 23 points. McDermott also became Creighton's all-time leading scorer. Gregory Echenique also played a big role inside. He racked up 11 points, 11 rebounds, and six blocks for the Jays. And Will Artino set his career-high with a 14-point performance.
