Omaha, NE - It was sloppy, it was ugly and it certainly wasn't pretty, but Creighton did just enough to hang on and get a 59-45 win over Southern Illinois Tuesday.
The Bluejays made a season low, two three pointers in the victory. Doug McDermott held to just 10 points, but Grant Gibbs and Will Artino came up big off the bench. Both scored 13 points, a career high for Artino. The big man was a perfect 6 of 6 from the floor. Creighton improved to 11-5 in Missouri Valley play, but still remain a game behind Wichita State.
