Carbondale, IL - The Creighton Bluejays returned to juggernaut form on Sunday night. They blitzed Southern Illinois to the tune of 81-51. The 30-point blowout stopped the Jays losing skid at two games.
Doug McDermott led the way for Creighton with 21 points. The Jays also received a big contribution from Gregory Echenique who scored 12 points while grabbing eleven rebounds. Creighton shot over sixty percent from the field, and they knocked down twelve three-pointers. The win moves them to 7-2 in Valley play this season.
Creighton will return to action this Wednesday against Missouri State.
