Lincoln, NE - One of the most unique things about the Nebraska football team is the walk-on program.  High school players from all over the state will often turn down scholarships for a chance to walk-on with the Huskers.  It's a unique situation that Bo Pelini hasn't seen anywhere else.

This year there are plenty of walk-ons and former walk-ons making an impact.  Two walk-ons start on the offensive line.  Former walk-on Justin Blatchford broke up a pass to clinc a win over Penn State last week.  And Brett Maher is one of the best kickers in the country.  He is also a former walk-on.
