Omaha, NE - By a record number of votes, the Creighton Men's basketball team were the unanimous pick to win the Missouri Valley Conference. They're more than just hype. Everything is pointing towards this being the best season in program history and it's mainly surrounding the play of  Doug McDermott.

The Junior was named to the Associated Press, Pre-Season, All-American First Team. A first for any valley player in the conference's history. Not even lLarry Bird was given this honor while at Indiana State. The target is positioned squarely on the jays backs, however McDermott doesn't mind it.
