Lincoln, NE - Junior college transfer Daimion Stafford made a big impact for the Huskers last season.  He racked up the third most tackles on the team.  He led the team with ten pass breakups.  He even managed to rack up three tackles for loss despite playing safety.

This year, the Huskers are expecting even more from him.  Defensive coordinator John Papuchis believes the difference between Stafford this year and last year is night and day.  He's more comfortable in the system and understands the nuances of the defense.  He also knows how to read his own teammates better and react to them.

In his first year with Nebraska he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors.  If he improves as much as his coaches believe he can improve then Stafford might find his trophy case a little full at the end of the season.
