Omaha, NE - One day after the Creighton bats showed signs of life they went back to sleep again. The Bluejay lumber could only scatter three hits over nine innings. And they failed to put a run on the board.
Creighton wasted a terrific outing from their pitching staff. The Bluejay staff only allowed one run, but that one run was enough to get the job done. Evansville's 1-0 victory over Creighton gave them their first series win against the Jays since 2006.
The loss dropped Creighton to 1-5 in conference play, and it pushed their season record under .500.
