A major transformation is underway inside the CenturyLink Center.

With the U.S. swim trials right around the corner, there is a lot to do in a short amount of time.

For the next several days, crews will build two Olympic size pools.

One pool will be used for the competition and the other pool will be used for warm-ups and cool downs.

By the time this project is completed, nearly 200 people will play a part in building both pools.

Consider the pool construction as an unspoken competition before the trials even take place.

Myrtha pools, the mastermind behind the installation comes all the way from Italy.

Crews will have to build fast to install the two Olympic size pools.

Like they did in 20-12 when the trials were held in omaha...as seen in this time lapse video.

We have to have swimmers in the pool in 16 days. So that's filled, heated and balanced. So that's 2 million gallons of water pumped in from the fire hydrants here in the arena.

The logistics behind the pools is like clockwork as Omaha enters it's third time hosting the trials.

Harold Cliff, a top exec with the us swim trials and Omaha sports commission says the 2008 and 20-12 trials raised the stakes this  year.

As the third time around, i think the expectations are higher from the public and our board and everybody else. So it doesn't really get any easier you have to still raise the bar so to speak in terms of the competition work as an event.

Pool construction is expected to last roughly two weeks.

The U.S. swim trials are from June 26th to July 3rd.
