COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) The Council Bluffs Lewis Central football team made it to the 2nd round of the state playoffs last season thanks to quarterback and TCU commit Max Duggan. Now, the Titans want to take it further in 2018.

"Very simple, we want to make the playoffs, obviously, and then we want to play for a championship," said head coach Jim Duggan. "That's our goal this year and the kids understand that and that's we're practicing for every day."

"We always like to get to the playoffs, it's always fun to play there," said senior kicker Drake Nettles. "Our goal is always to get to the Dome but it's going to be tough this year but if we come out to play I feel like we have a shot."

The Titans return six starters on each side of the ball and open the season August 24 against Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
