The Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets will square off in a NBA preseason game Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on Wednesday, October 12 at 7 PM. 

The game will mark the fourth time the Timberwolves have played in Nebraska, following games in Omaha in 1999, 2003, and 2006. 

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 24 at 10 AM.

The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team will host a preseason game at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Wolves will play host to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. This will mark the Wolves' first trip to Lincoln, Nebraska for a preseason game.

"We're looking forward to bringing our franchise back to Nebraska and to Lincoln for the very first time," said Timberwolves President Chris Wright. "This off-site game is a great opportunity to connect with our fans in Nebraska and bring the excitement of NBA basketball right to their front door."

Under the direction of new President of Basketball Operations/Head Coach Tom Thibodeau and General Manager Scott Layden, the Minnesota Timberwolves promise to bring excitement to Pinnacle Bank Arena as the team plays its first ever game in Lincoln. Featuring back-to-back Rookie of the Year winners and No. 1 overall picks Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Timberwolves boost one of the NBA’s best young cores that also includes two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion Zach LaVine and point guard Ricky Rubio. Minnesota will add to their exciting roster during Thursday’s NBA Draft as it owns the No. 5 overall pick. Coming off a 13-win improvement from the 2014-15 season, the Wolves are expected to contend for a playoff spot this season as one of the up-and-coming teams in the NBA.

This game marks the Wolves' fourth visit to Nebraska having played preseason games in Omaha in 1999, 2003, and 2006. Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m.
