The Nebraska men's basketball team beat Penn State Tuesday night in Lincoln, 82-66. The Huskers' 16 point win was the largest conference victory of the season.

Glynn Watson, Jr. & Jack McVeigh both had 15 points to lead the Big Red. Tai Webster also had 12 points, extending his double-figure scoring streak to 26 games.

Nebraska's now 7-1 this season when scoring 80 or more points.

"I thought our guys were fairly locked in on the defensive game plan," NU head coach Tim Miles said. "Early on, we allowed way too many points, but I thought we were much better in the second half. I thought it was important to go out and get a good start at the rim.”

McVeigh hit a half-court shot to beat the halftime buzzer to give NU a 45-37 lead heading into the locker room.

The 45 points tied a season-high for the Huskers.

“We’ve been really emphasizing ball movement and stuff like that," McVeigh said. "When you get everyone working well together and everyone clicking, offense becomes a lot easier."

Isaiah Roby also had a pair of 2nd half dunks to put PSU away.

Nebraska (11-14, 5-8) is at Ohio State Saturday.
