An online obituary for Husker football player Sam Foltz reads, "Sam never lost his love for small town ways...Sam loved to be on the farm and had a knack for just showing up when help was needed the most."

The 22-year-old died in a car crash Saturday night in Merton, Wisconsin. He was attending a football camp. Also killed in the crash was former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler. 

All Faiths Funeral Home posted his obituary and the service information. They have also included a place online for people to leave their condolences.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Foltz will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 518 West State Street in Grand Island, Nebraska. Family burial of ashes will be in the Greeley Cemetery. 

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 3-8 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends beginning at 4 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 8 p.m. also at the church.
