The University of Nebraska Department of Athletics just announced the launch of a new ticket-purchasing platform called Big Red ReplyBuy. The Huskers and ReplyBuy are partnering to make things easier on Husker fans who want to get their hands on tickets.

With this new service, Husker fans will be able to buy tickets to games by responding to a text message and will receive last minute offers when tickets become available from visiting teams and other outlets, even when the games were previously announced as sold out.

Now, Nebraska football is full of tradition. From the tunnel walk, to the Sea of Red, to the Blackshirts. But arguably the most important tradition to Husker fans is Memorial Stadium's sellout streak. Memorial Stadium holds an NCAA record 347 consecutive sellouts, dating back to 1962.

In recent years, tickets have not sold as fast as they used to. Many question whether staying home to watch the game on TV is a better experience than dealing with the hassle of Memorial Stadium, or Lincoln for that matter, on a College Football Saturday.

Could this new partnership help extend the Huskers sellout streak? Possibly. But it is definitely a step in the right direction.

“This cutting edge approach improves efficiencies and enhances the fan experience, which we consistently strive to provide the greatest fans in all of college athletics," Senior Associate A.D. for Development & Ticket Operations Diane Mendenhall said.

Fans can now register by visiting https://www.replybuy.com/huskers/welcome or text HUSKERS to 20123.
