The Creighton women's basketball team won a share of the BIG EAST regular season title Sunday with a 65-53 win at Butler.
It's the Jays' first championship in women's basketball since joining the conference.
Senior Marissa Janning scored 27 points as CU ended the regular season with a 22-6 overall record and 16-2 in league play.
The 25th ranked Bluejays will now be the number two seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament & face the winner of the 7/10 matchup between Xavier & Butler. That game will be played Sunday March 5 at 12 p.m.
