Game two of the 2016 College World Series championship series featured Coastal Carolina trying to battle back from a one-game deficit. Mike Morrison started on the mound for Coastal Carolina, and Kevin Ginkel started for Arizona.

After a failed squeeze attempt, Bobby Dalbec had an RBI single, putting the Wildcats up 1-0 in the first inning.

Anthony Marks came up big for the Chanticleers in the top of the third inning with a two RBI single, giving Coastal Carolina a 2-1 lead.

Aguilar came through in the bottom of the fifth inning with an RBI to tie the score at 2-2.

In the top of the sixth, Louis Boyd had an incredible snag, and Aguilar had the stretch to go with it.

Mike Morrison left the game after throwing 6.2 innings, allowing just six hits, two runs with 10 strikeouts.

An RBI single plated Marks in the top of the eighth, and a two RBI base hit from G.K. Young broke the tie and gave Coastal Carolina a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the eighth inning.

With help from a few walks and errors from Coastal Carolina, Arizona pulled the lead to just 5-4 heading into the ninth inning.

Bobby Holmes was able to close it out in the bottom of the ninth and Coastal Carolina forced a game three.
