Creighton Fans Heading East Will Pay Big Bucks
March Madness will not be cheap
Omaha, NE - Fans cheered on Selection Sunday as the BlueJays Men's Basketball team got their spot in the big dance. But the cheering may turn to shouting when they find how just how much they'll have to pay to see the Jays play.
Creighton will play the Cincinnait Bearcats in Philadelphia on Friday during the first round of the playoffs.
AAA says airfare to Philly is around $740 round trip. Rose White with AAA says the costs don't stop with the flight. She says fans should expect to pay well over $1000 per person.
White says if you want to go, book sooner than later, "You only have a couple days left to make that decision and of course those prices can change at any time so we do advise if you are interested in going to the big dance you need to make that decision right away."
AAA says groups looking to save a little cash may want to look into flights out of Kansas City.
