Spring Breakers Choose Service
UNO students take part in Seven Days of Service
Omaha, NE - Many UNO students traded in days of sleeping in for days of helping their community. They're spending their spring break taking part in a project called Seven Days of Service.
We caught up with students volunteering at Good 360. The organization packs up toiletries to send to charities across the country.
UNO senior, Alisha Davis, told us she loves to help out and hopes volunteering will help her reach her career goals. She said, "I feel better when I spend my time doing something productive."
Another group of students is spending their time building a Habitat for Humanity home near 18th and Sprague Street.
