Firefighters Discover Body Inside Elevator
Omaha, NE - For the second day in a row, firefighters found a body inside a burning building. Around 1:00 a.m. firefighters were called to an abandoned complex when someone saw smoke coming from the roof top.
Formally Logan apartments, the apartment building has seven floors; the fire was contained to the first two and the entire building filled with smoke.
The building is abandoned and has been boarded up for years. Firefighters had to break through plywood to get into the building.
Firefighters found a small fire in an elevator car between the first two floors. The body was found in the elevator. Omaha Fire and Arson Bureau are investigating. It's unknown who the victim is or the cause of death.
