More Expensive To Park In Lincoln

Lincoln, NE - If you're headed to Lincoln any time soon, take some extra change with you. It'll cost more to park in metered spaces.
The hourly rate has doubled to $1 an hour.
The city just finished installing new meters that take debit and credit cards, just like the meters here in Omaha.
The increase will bring in about $1 million. $750,000 of that will go to the city's general fund. The rest will help pay for new parking garages.
