Johanns To Be Inducted Into Republican Hall of Fame
Nebraska Republicans To Honor Retiring Senator
Lincoln, NE - Retiring U.S. Senator Mike Johanns will be honored this Saturday by fellow Republicans in Kearney.
Republicans will induct Johanns and his wife Stephanie into the Hall of Fame at the Founders Day awards dinner. State GOP Chairman Mark Fahleson said, " Senator Johanns is a consummate stateman and his years of steady leadership have been of great service to our state and party. "
Johanns announced last month that he will not seek a second term in 2014 in the Senate. He stated that he wants to spend more time with his wife and family after serving not only as a Senator but also U.S. Agriculture Secretary and Governor of Nebraska.
