Omaha Ranks 2nd for World's Up-and-Coming Music Cities

Omaha was the only American city listed on MTV Iggy's site

Omaha, NE - One of MTV's many music web sites ranked Omaha second in its list of the world's best up-and-coming music cities. 

The article said, "We know it seems random." It went on to say, "The music scene in Omaha, Nebraska has beeen poppin' ever since the likes of Duke Ellington and Nat King Cole hit its speakeasies and jazz clubs back in the 1920s. And it really hasn't slowed down since, with thriving indie labels like Saddle Creek Records boasting the likes of Bright Eyes and Tokyo Police Club. The quintessential Omaha sound blends the college radio lover's alt rock with peppered wtih small doses of country twang."

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia tops the list of nine cities. Omaha was the only American city included. You can check out the entire list at MTV Iggy
