Lincoln, NE - Nebraska's Connie Yori has won Coach of the Year honors. Her colleagues in the Big Ten named Yori the top coach in the conference after Yori guided the Husker women to a record of 22-7, as well as 12-4 in the Big Ten.

In a statement released by the University, Yori said " All postseason awards are about teams more than individuals. "  Yori is in her 11th season with the Huskers.  She previously captured coach-of-the-year honors when the Big Red was on the Big 12.

The Huskers are seeded second in the Big Ten tournament in Illinois.  Their first game will take place Friday morning against either Iowa or Northwestern.
