Person In Custody In Deadly Stabbing
South Omaha
Omaha, NE - A man is in police custody, suspected in a deadly stabbing overnight in South Omaha.
Police were called to a home near 40th & Y Streets at midnight.
They found 24-year-old Ryan O'Donnell with a stab wound.
Paramedics took him to Alegent Creighton Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Officers located the suspect, 23-year-old Anthony Utterback a short time later and arrested him.
A neighbor says he didn't know the men but finds it shocking that a man was stabbed so close to his home.
"That's horrible for the victim and victims family but you hear about that a lot in central and north Omaha but when it's three houses down from you in south Omaha it's kinda, kinda crazy." says Jim Owen
Police booked Utterback for second degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
