Fabulous Finds at the Prom Boutique

Vintage, Name Brands, Mermaid and Princess prom gowns all sold for less than a prom ticket.

 Omaha, NE - A prom dress for $25, sounds unreal, right? Well, it was a dream come true for hundreds of high school girls gearing up for the big dance.  Max I. Walker, an Omaha dry-cleaning company, sold the gowns at discounted prices to help a local charity.  The Ultra Chic Prom Boutique sold hundreds of prom and wedding dresses, collecting thousands of dollars that will be donated to the Open Door Mission's, Lydia House.  

 
The Boutique is in its sixth year and it growing.  "It's totally helping others and at the end of the day, we say its woman helping woman.  Girls helping girls." Max I. Walker Executive, Lisa Walker-Sekundiak started the fundraiser in hopes she could help woman in need.  Throughout the year, every Max I. Walker location in Omaha collects and cleans thousands of gently used gowns.  After the Prom Boutique, all of the proceeds and the left over dresses are then given to the Lydia House.  
 
The homeless are not the only ones benefiting, girls like Alysha Puls cannot afford to spend hundreds on a one time dress, so she shops here instead.  "It gives girls who normally don't go to prom because they can't afford the dresses, the chance to enjoy their high school career by being able to afford a prom dress."  Puls won the chance to buy a one of a kind princess ballgown.  Covered in sequence and a giant poof, Puls says this is her dream dress and it only cost her $26, the raffle ticket, only one dollar was worth every penny.
