High Bond Set in South Omaha Shooting
A man charged with shooting a woman multiple times made his first appearance in court.
The judge set bond for 19-year-old William Harris at $750,000 on Friday. Harris is accused of shooting Rebecca Earlywine as many as 12 times, at her home on 29th and S St. early Thursday morning.
A neighbor heard her screaming and called 911. She found Earlywine in the door, covered in blood. Prosecutors say after the shooting Harris told a police officer he'd been at an apartment where someone was shot and he was going to jail.
Harris’ brother said he’s been dealing with drug issues for the last 6 months.
Prosecutors charged him with 1st Degree Assault, and Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony.
