Family Arrives Home to Burglars, Shot Fired at Homeowner
PAPILLION, NE- Police say a family arrived at their Corral Circle home to find burglars leaving their residence.
The homeowner, his wife, and three kids pulled up to the home at approximately 5:00 p.m. Thursday to find a stranger walking out the front door.
When the owner approached the man and asked him what he was doing, police say the intruder made no sense in his explanation and ran from the home. He then fired off a shot from a low caliber handgun in the direction of the homeowner.
No one was struck from the fired shot, police say.
Police say the man ran across the street and into a waiting red Jeep Wrangler with a black top.
