The state capitol was shrouded in fog Monday afternoon, but the message to the governor was clear. Protesters aren't happy about his decision to back the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Protestor Jenny Wright says, "I am shocked but not surprised I would say because he's been tap dancing for quite some time on this subject."  Protesters criticized the governor for writing to President Obama last week. Heineman says the state had done a thorough study of a new proposed route. The governor said the route would avoid the sensitive Sandhills Region. Still, some worry if the pipe were to fail, the end result would be tragic.

Wrights says, ""If we don't have air, water and soil we're not going to have food. We're not going to have life."  A rally in Washington D.C. is planned for February 17th. About ten thousand people are expected.
