Madonna Rehab Center to Open in West Omaha
New 200,000 Square Foot Facility Planned
Omaha, NE - The Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital will open a new, $60 million hospital in West Omaha. Hospital officials hope to open it by fall 2015.
The Lincoln-based rehab center says UNMC and Methodist Hospitals in Omaha invited them to open the new campus. In order to comply with the federal health care law, the hospitals will have to work closely with rehab experts.
The new center is expected to employ more than 800 people, and generate around $45 million in revenue. It will include 120 beds.
Madonna says opening the new campus will not affect operations in Lincoln.
