"You Drink & Drive, You Lose" Crackdown
Sarpy County Sheriff's Office Calls It A Success
Omaha, NE- A month long campaign to crack down on drunk driving in Sarpy County has wrapped up and police are calling it a huge success.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office took part in the “You Drink & Drive, You Lose” Crackdown through the month of December. The Sheriff’s Office was able to arrest and remove several impaired drivers from the roadways.
The campaign was paid for by a $7,500 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
The following citations were issued:
43 citations for speeding
· 4 citations for reckless driving
· 7 arrests for DUI
· 8 arrests for drug possession
· 15 citations for driving under suspension
· 10 citations for minor in possession of alcohol
