OMAHA, NE- Thousands of pieces up for auction and each item are going home with the highest bidder.

Most people at the Auction Mill auction on Saturday visited Peony Park in the past.  They want to hold on to old memories by collecting souvenirs from the place they once loved.

Hundreds of Peony Park fans came out to bid on items that will bring back childhood memories.

From 1919 to 1994 Peony Park was the gathering place for children and teens. From pin balls to soda machines, these items are all that is left from the old Peony Park and it's all up for grabs.

David Andersen is just one of the many who are trying to get their hands on the games he loved as a child, "I'm going to buy some of the arcade games, or try to anyways."  Andersen says he misses Sprite Night at the park and buying arcade games is a way to remember a piece of Omaha that is now gone.

The majority of items up for bidding are from perhaps the biggest Peony Park fan ever, Carl Jennings. Since the park closed nearly 2 decades ago, he's recreated his own Peony Park in Wahoo Nebraska. Over the years he's collected thousands of items and stored them in sheds across Omaha.  Recently, Jennings has decided to move on and allow others to enjoy the pieces of the park too.
