Heart Issue Could End Jones Playing Days
Creighton Senior Will Undergo Tests On Heart
Omaha, NE - Josh Jones playing career at Creighton is in jeopardy. The Omaha Central product collapsed prior to the Bluejays game against Nebraska last Thursday. Jones spent the night in a Lincoln-area hospital for tests on his heart.
Josh Jones has a history of medical issues, starting with open heart surgery in 2007. He says there haven't been problems of any kind until Creighton's game against the Huskers.
The next six weeks will be filled with tests and procedures to determine what exactly is wrong with his heart and if he will ever be able to play basketball again.
In his press conference, Jones said best case scenario would be returning in late January for the Jays. Worst case would be to never play again.
