Indianola, IA - A group of hunters could not see through the fog Sunday morning.  Someone in the group fired at a running deer and hit one of his friends.

The group was hunting near Indianola.  A gunshot hit 58-year-old Miles Sagan of Red Oak, in the shoulder.

Iowa Department of Natural Resources officers say the heavy fog made it impossible to see more than 100 yards.  They say nobody should ever hunt in foggy conditions.

Sagan was one of five people injured Sunday, the second day of the shotgun deer season in Iowa.
