Omaha, NE - Six year-old Steven Walker, Jr. didn't ask Santa for a spot on the top NBA team, instead he wants St. Nick to deliver gifts to a family in need. Junior, as he's affectionately known, heard a spot on Star 104.5 asking people to adopt a family for the holidays.

Junior's mother told us she can't afford Christmas presents for the family of six. Although he'd love to have a new video game, he'd rather his parents give gifts to a little boy in need.

"He just all of a sudden said 'Mommy, if I can't have Christmas this year can we give Christmas to another little kid and I got choked up," Amanda Walker said.

Amanda Walker and her family have received gifts from the Salvation Army's Adopt a Family in the past. She feels it's necessary to pay it forward.

"As long as my child knows he gave to another child I guess that's the greatest gift I could give him."
