Omaha Stadium Named "Field of the Year"
Omaha, NE - TD Ameritrade Park has seen a lot of wins already, now the stadium itself is a winner.
The SportsTurf Managers Association named the Omaha stadium "Field of the Year" in college baseball. The Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority announced the award Thursday. The award recognizes baseball, football, softball and sporting grounds fields.
The award is based on playability and the appearance of the field, effective use of budgets and agronomic programs.
The College World Series moved to TD Ameritrade Park last year.
The award will be presented in January.
