Omaha, NE - Christmas at Union Station. Dozens of families packed the Durham Museum to experience the magic of Christmas at the annual tree lighting ceremony. Watching the 40-foot Colorado Spruce light up brought joy to Omahans young and old.

"It's pretty cool, it's our first year here and we really liked it," Joshua Vanbuskirk said.

The holiday tradition began back in 1930 and has quickly grown into one of the most popular family events right after Thanksgiving. "I'm excited for christmas I have a lot of things on my list," a spectator said.

The tree-lighting ceremony kicks off a season of holiday events at the Durham - all guaranteed to spread a little cheer and make the season merry and bright.
