Omaha, NE- We're just one month from Thanksgiving and the food bank is gearing up.
On Thursday, they received 4,900 turkeys. Those turkeys will be given to pantries across Nebraska and Iowa.
Brian Barks of the Food Bank for the Heartland says more donations are needed to fill the void this holiday season. "Four thousand nine hundred turkeys is a lot and quite frankly it is not enough for the Thanksgiving season."
You can donate through November 19th, just head to foodbankheartland.org.
