Body Found in North Omaha Home

Omaha, NE - A family is in mourning after a body was found in a North Omaha home.

Family members tell Action 3 News 37-year-old Jamie Moss was found dead near 18th and Manderson.

"This has got to end somewhere," said Michelle Martin, Moss's Aunt.

Family members say Moss was gunned down and found dead Friday afternoon, by his sister.
"Jamie never bothered anybody you know he had a wife and kids, he took care of his kids," said Martin.

Family members say Moss graduated from Metro Community College where he studied heating and air conditioning.

His sister Barbara Robinson works for Impact One, an organization dedicated to tackling violence and problems in North Omaha.

When word spread Moss was found dead state and local leaders rushed to the scene.
Omaha Councilman Ben Gray, OPS Board President Freddie Gray, State Senator Brenda Council, and the Empowerment Network President Willie Barney were immediately by the family's side.

"She is trying to help people and bring the community together, and for this to happen to her brother is really hurtful," said Martin.

Police will not say what happened inside the home, only that homicide detectives are on the case.
It leaves family members grieving without any answers.
