House Explosion Kills Omaha Man
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a man injured in a house fire in Omaha has died.
Police say 66-year-old Merlin Gardner was among 6 people injured in the fire Tuesday morning. Gardner died on Wednesday.
He and two other men were taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition after the fire. Police say 39-year-old Billy Boyer and 42-year-old Joseph Mangiamelli remain in critical condition on Wednesday.
Two others were taken to Creighton Medical Center and later released. A sixth person was treated at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
