5 People Hospitalized after Fire

Omaha, NE- Five people have been hospitalized after a fire at a northeast Omaha home. 
 
The Omaha Fire Department says a total 6 people were in the home when the fire started.  It happened near 37th & Fowler Avenue at around 9am Tuesday.  Firefighters took two unconscious men from the basement of the home.  The men and another person were taken to the hospital in critical condition, two others were taken in serious condition.
 
OFD, OPD, and ATF investigators were on scene for most of the afternoon.  The Hazmat team went into the home after the fire was completely put out.  Investigators sifted through evidence, and took a number of computers as well as a large utility bucket.
 
One of the victim's fiance, Shelli Solis, said she couldn't believe what she saw.
 
"I don't know exactly why or what happened. I was in my house," Solis explained.  "I was scared, I couldn't find my fiance. I didn't know where he was at."
 
The fire is still being investigated.  The cause and exact location that it started has not been released.
