Today Is "No Texting And Driving Day"
Text Messaging Can Wait
Elkhorn, NE - Police officers, AAA and AT&T representatives are hoping students at Elkhorn High School will make a commitment today, not to text and drive. They'll hold a rally later this morning to make students aware of the dangers of texting behind the wheel.
AT&T says 97% of teens KNOW texting behind the wheel is dangerous, but 75% of teenagers say texting is common among their friends.
The cell phone carrier and local law enforcement aren't just hoping students will take the pledge. They also want adults to do it too!
