Thousands Gather for Labor Day Parade
Omaha - The unofficial end of the summer is here and a parade is a great way to say goodbye.
Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman was on hand to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day.
Thousands lined today's parade route to see all the sights and sounds.
One of the attendees,Colton Patrick, said, "I also like all the floats they usually have something cool and it's just really fun."
Brandon Parker told us he's a huge fan of fire trucks.
For some parade goers, it was all about catching the candy.
Even Fred Flinstone made a special appearance, as the giant balloon was carefully maneuvered around stop lights with the help of seven workers.
Along the route, a sea of red, white and blue paying tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers.
