Rapist Headed To Prison This Time For A Repeat Crime
He's 20 Now, First Attacked When He Was 14
Omaha, NE -He first struck when he was 14 years old. Now, a 20-year-old Robert Fountain is heading to prison for attacking again.
Judge Marlon Polk sentenced Fountain to 10 to 16 years in prison for the attempted sexual assault of a 27-year-old woman near 36th and Underwood. In September 2011, he asked to use her bathroom--she told him "no"--he then broke in after cutting off her power. A neighbor came to her rescue after she screamed for help.
In 2006, a much-younger Fountain broke into a 12-year-old's bedroom and raped her at knifepoint. Police said he returned to the scene the next day but ended up fleeing.
Fountain spent five years in the juvenile court system until he "aged out" at 19. He'd been out of the system for two months.
