Teacher Gets Two Years Probation; Accused Of Giving Student Xanax

Council Bluffs, IA - A former high school teacher was sentenced to two years probation after his arrest for giving a student Xanax.

Police arrested Adam Jones, a teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School, for giving the teen a controlled substance.

Police also told us Jones admitted to having an inappropriate relation ship with the student, and sending her text messages.

The judge dismissed a charge of sexual exploitation by a school employee and gave Jones two years probation on the drug charge.
