Benson Celebrates 125th Birthday With Parade
Residents Optimistic About District's Future
Omaha, NE - To the sound of marching and the beat of a drum, dozens of people gathered Saturday for a parade celebrating Benson's 125th birthday.
"That's a long time to have a community going," observed resident Teri Anderson. "It seems like it's expanding as well. You hear about new businesses all the time."
"Benson is well represented, too," added Paula Gray.
Well represented because residents say Benson's business environment just keeps getting better with each passing year. Some are even taking notice.
"I think in time it will thrive. It's just going to take a big effort on the part of all of us," said Gray.
It's a future that has a lot of people buzzing and beaming with excitement.
