Prosecutors: Money and Drugs Were Motive for Triple Homicide
Anthony Davis made his first court appearance Tueday morning
Omaha, NE -- 33-year old Anthony Davis was in court for the first time Tuesday morning. Davis has been charged with 3 counts of murder and 3 counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony. Omaha Police accuse him of shooting three men on July 9th at 2736 S. 9th Street in Omaha. 44-year old Miguel Avalos and his two sons 18-year old Miguel Avalos Jr. and 16-year old Jose Avalos died.
Omaha Police arrested Davis Monday morning. Prosecutors say Anthony Davis wanted drugs and money from the Avalos family. A council bluffs woman, Tiaotta Clairday has also been arrested for her connection in the deadly shooting. Investigators believe she was the getaway driver.
Davis is being held in administrative confinement without bond. His preliminary hearing will be August 15th.
