Man Busted For Again Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Minors
Investigators are asking for any more victims to come forward
Council Bluffs, IA -- A convicted child predator is locked up again. He's accused of sex crimes against more children and investigators believe more victims are out there.
Robert Schuster just finished a 2 1/2 year sentence for sexually assaulting a 13-year old back in 2011. Council Bluffs Police Detectives busted him again on his release date.
32-year old Robert Schuster once again sits behind bars in the Pottawattamie County Jail, accused of heinous acts against minors. "This guy does not even deserve to be out again" began Detective Matt Brinkman.
Court documents show Schuster preys on young boys both in Nebraska and in Iowa. The Detective added, "There are actually 3 victims here in Council Bluffs. 2 of the victims are also victims in Nebraska because he committed the sex acts in Nebraska and then they came to Iowa and he committed the sex acts in Iowa as well."
Detective Brinkman tells KMTV Action 3 News all of the victims were friends of Schuster in one way or another. "The suspects brother was friends with his brother and friends of friends and that's how they spent time together," he said.
An affidavit shows in 2011, a 13-year old Lincoln boy came forward telling investigators Schuster would rub the young boy's genitals while pleasuring himself. After he'd say "Don't tell anyone what happened because I would go to jail".
In 2012, two more young men came forward claiming Schuster also sexually assaulted them. One of the attacks allegedly happened in 2008. The accuser was 15-years old at the time. He told police he'd visit Schuster in Council Bluffs where Schuster performed sex acts on him 20 times. In an interview with a Lancaster County Sheriff's Deputy, that same teen said the assaults happened hundreds of times.
"This guy he's a bad guy" said Brinkman.
Investigators are also focusing on Iowa School For The Deaf where Schuster may have even been enrolled at learning sign language. Investigators believe many more victims are out there. "He could have been in contact with so many kids so we're just trying to get everybody covered and obviously make sure our children are safe," explained the Council Bluffs Police Detective.
KMTV Action 3 News asked Schuster for his side of the story, he said "absolutely not".
If you believe you or your child was assaulted by Schuster, Detective Brinkman wants you to call at 712-328-4709. You can also call the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department at 402-441-7725.
