Bowling For At-Risk Youth
Fundraiser Helps Non-Profit Groups
Omaha, NE - Bowlers hit the lanes Saturday afternoon, but it was more than just for fun.
Black Men United teamed up with Omaha Cares Circle for a fundraiser to benefit at-risk youth and low-income families. Their mission is to shape young lives and encourage teens to set and achieve their goals.
"Overall, our goal is to put the focus back where it should be, and that's on our kids," said Black Men United President and Founder Willie Hamilton. "We have to find mentors for these individuals and we all know the impact a mentor has on a child's life."
The best bowlers got prizes for bowling the highest score.
