Ozone Alert System To Protect Your Health
Three-Tier System Just Unveiled This Year
Omaha, NE - A brand new ozone alert system just unveiled this year will warn you when air pollution becomes too dangerous outside.
The machine, located at the Douglas County Health Center, is what measures ozone levels. If there's too much of it you'll be told one of three things: Be aware, take action or go into alert mode. The three-tier system is designed to protect people's health. Omaha residents say they're grateful for it.
"It could keep me out of the outdoors when the pollution in the air is too high because I have allergies," said resident Johnnetta Bennett.
Here's another important tip: Don't overfill your gas tank. When you hear the "click" you're encouraged to stop right there.
